Tregrehan feedback June 2011
The June 12th event took place in very challenging conditions. Many thanks to the owners, Mr and Mrs Hudson, and ALL the Competitors, Officials, Marshals, Caterers and Spectators who attended Tregrehan in very wet conditions. Some comments are reproduced below from competitors and supporters of the event.
Hi Tony,
Just a quick messgae to say a big thankyou for a fantastic day yesterday. Whilst the weather did not go quite to expectations , the work put in by the dedicated team , led by your good self ensured another memorble Tregrehan. The Hill itself looked excellent, the new surface certainly a great help and the gutters were certainly put to the test. Whilst i was soaked by the end of the day , it did not dampen the enjoyment of the event Well done and good luck for July
Thank you again Wayne , Car 1
Hi Tony,
Sorry I did not make it today, I'm told it was a good well run meeting. It rained really hard here most of the night so i expected the paddock to be a mud swamp, but again I'm told it was good. So sounds like i should have come, Anyway tomorrow I will post my entry for the next meeting so hopefully I will see you there.
Regards Mike Lee
Hi Tony, I had been watching the weather forecast all week and it was hard when we awoke on sunday morning to discover that, sadly the weather mans predictions where spot on! However, I am glad that I made it, as it was more then obvious when we arrived, that serious effort had been made to ensure this event was going to run come rain or shine. Once again a thank you to Tregrehan landowner, Tom Hudson, for allowing us to be on his estate, to yourself and Truro motor clubs hard working officials, for making it all happen and to the dedicated marshalls that stood out in all that weather, making sure if anything did go wrong, they where ready and willing to assist. As I said at the end of the meeting, I got wet enough seating in an open top single seater but at least I could run back into the trailer after each run, marshall's could not, so to them as big a well done as any. Tregrehan is firmly back on the hillclimb calander, and long may it stay their, good luck with the feistival of speed in July, I am sure the sun will shine, it can not possibly be any worse.

"Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed today - it really was great fun and everyone made us feel very much at home. Its always fun with the challenge
of a new hill, there were certainly some quick times.
Had a good trip home across Bodmin, what a super road that is - it was like being on a race circuit! So sorry we went off a bit quickly, thats the trouble with
having animals waiting at home - they need feeding! Hope to see you again soon - if not, we will see you back at Tregrehan next year!
Kindest regards,
Briony and Phil"
"Good Morning,

Just a quick communication to say, Congratulations.
It appears to me that the day was a great success, helped by the weather, and all should have benefited.
The hard work by you and the whole team ensured that Tregrehan is back on the map.
