Portreath Sprint Announcement

Portreath Sprint August 24th and 25th 2019

It is with deep regret that we have to announce the cancellation of the Bank Holiday Sprint weekend at Portreath. This is due to the RAF requiring the site throughout August, and has affected all planned events at this venue. Truro and District Motor Club would like to apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

The Club explored various possibilities to reschedule, but with the packed programme of events in September, as part of the Cornwall Motorsport Month, and the clubs commitment to the Watergate Bay Hill Climb, availability of the necessary Officials and Safety Personnel proved impossible to bring together on one weekend.

The Richards Bros – Truro and District Motor Club Speed Championship will now be held over six events, with the final two days being the Tregrehan Speed Hill Climb on October 12th and 13th.

For those competitors who have already entered for Portreath, your entry fee will be fully refunded. If you would like this to be done by Bank Transfer, please contact our Entries Secretary, Manda Moo to arrange. Otherwise you will be refunded by cheque. If your entry hasn’t yet been banked, we can either arrange for your cheque to be returned or destroyed.

We would like to thank you for your support in 2019, and look forward to welcoming you to either Tregrehan in October or the Portreath Sprints in 2020.

Vice Chair, Truro and District Motor Club
