TDMC Rolling Road session -The results!

A Great turnout for the first annual TDMC rolling road day. 12 Cars braved the rain to turn up on Saturday morning at ARM to test the car on the rolling road. A wide range a cars from a standard K series Metro of Kennan which showed a massive 67bhp but may have some explaining to do as the care had a black box fitted as this was his first car! At the other end were the big guns of Ian Roscorla in his new 6.0l Vauxhall Monaro and the Nissan 350z (supercharged) and it went the way of Jamie Findon in the 350z with the best of the day at 457bhp. The weird award but putting in a good show at 150bhp was the diesel converted VW caddy of Ryan Freeman.

The committee are currently arranging a discounted rolling road session for club members and their friends (or in reality their cars!) The session will take the format of a number of runs (minimum of 2) where the car is secured to the rolling road and the bhp is then calculated from a number of factors.

Come along or challenge a friend to a BHP off we may even consider an award for the car that records the highest BHP which would be presented at the Christmas lunch.

Think your car has what it takes? email newsletter@trurodmc.co.uk to register your interest as numbers will be limited it is likely to be a Saturday morning or and weekday evening so make your preference know.

The price if we get the numbers is likely to be £25 with a maximum of £35 if we have low numbers.

The road can cope with 2wd and 4wd.

The date has been set for Saturday the 11th November from 9.30am and will be held at ARM Motorsport at Wheel Busy just outside Redruth and just off the Chacewater to Redruth Rd. Postcode for SAT Navs is TR4 8NZ‏
