The Truro Speed Academy 2018

Truro and District Motor Club are pleased to announce the launch of this year’s Truro Speed Academy.

Building on the success of previous years, we are delighted to have the continued support of Camel Vale Motor Club and Newquay Auto Club who have offered the use of the June Treloy Sprint, and the July Castle Hillclimb weekend. This is in addition to the June and September Tregrehan Hillclimb weekends.

This year, we are again including the Portreath Sprint weekend in August. This keeps the academy events to nine, but the subsidised cost per event has been kept at 2017 prices.

We will have our first mentoring session on March 17th, where you will have the chance to meet senior MSA officials such as the Clerk of the Course and MSA Scrutineer. This session will cover MSA licence applications, completion of event entry forms and ASR’s, and car preparation. Further details can be found in the academy regulations, along with contact details for the senior officials. We would like to thank Hawkins Motors, Kia dealership, Hayle for allowing us to use their workshop for the first mentoring session.
