The Truro Speed Academy 2019
Truro and District Motor Club are pleased to announce the launch of this year’s Truro Speed Academy.
Building on the success of previous years, we are delighted to have the continued support of Camel Vale Motor Club and Newquay Auto Club who have once again offered the use of the June Treloy Sprint weekend, and the August Castle Hillclimb weekend. This is in addition to the June and October Tregrehan Hillclimb weekends.
This year, we are including both of the Portreath Sprint weekends in April and August. This increases the academy events to twelve, but the cost per event is still subsidised. Details are in the Academy Regulations.
We will have our first mentoring session on March 9th, at the Motor Vehicle Engineering Workshops at Cornwall College, Camborne. The meeting starts at 10am. You will have the chance to meet senior Motorsport UK officials such as the Clerk of the Course and Scrutineer. This session will cover Motorsport UK licence applications, completion of event entry forms and ASR’s, and car preparation. Further details can be found in the academy regulations, along with contact details for the senior officials. We would like to thank Cornwall College for their support of Local Motorsport, and John Collins for making the arrangements.
