Tregrehan October 12th and 13th 2019
It is with great regret that we the committee of Truro and District Motor Club have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the October Tregrehan Hill Climb planned for next weekend, 12/13th October 2019, due to the weather condition over the last few weeks and the forecast for the forthcoming week and next weekend. We have not made this decision without much discussion and debate within the committee but after careful consideration we cannot see any alternative.
In October 2017 we went ahead with the event despite the weather and by the Saturday lunch time the drive to the start line was more difficult than the run up the hill, by Sunday evening the ground in the paddock and to the start line resembled something one normally sees on Salisbury Plain after a tank exercise, we cannot afford to damage the land this way again as we do not wish to lose the venue.
We apologise to all of our competitors, marshals, spectators and officials that we cannot have another fun filled weekend of Motorsport but the weather is the one thing we cannot control.
Refunds will be made to all competitors who have entered and paid for this event in the normal way. Please contact our Entries Secretary, Manda Moo to arrange.
As this decision affects both the TDMC Speed Championship, and the Truro Speed Academy, those competitors involved will be contacted in due course once the Stewards have discussed the final standings.
Once again we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.
